Shiloh: Let's Build
Shiloh is one of the only intact, predominantly African-American communities left in Asheville- a place that has been ranked the second most gentrified city in the country.
It is a community with history, one that existed even before the city of Asheville was incorporated, and has long been a stronghold and sense of pride for its residents. "Shiloh: Let's Build," an Asheville Habitat for Humanity campaign lasting just over a year, represents a new partnership-based approach to building with communities to address issues of growth and gentrification through affordable housing and home repair.
